Prefixes (Dr/Mr/Ms) in RamCT – Updated 8/20/08
“Mr/Ms” Prefix
The Mr/Ms prefix in RamCT came from CSU’s legacy system, ISIS. The prefix is being discontinued in Fall 2008, and will be cleared from all user’s records.
“Dr.” Prefix
- From HR: The “Dr.” prefix for instructors in RamCT comes from the entry in the CSU HR system.
- Updating Prefix: Instructors who want the “Dr.” prefix to display in RamCT can contact their department’s HR staff to ensure that their entries are correct in the HR system. Updates usually run nightly from HR to ARIES to RamCT.
- Required Info in HR: The following three entries are required to create the “Dr.” prefix for RamCT:
- In the Special Info > Education Info screen, a Degree Category of either:
- Professional (level 08) or
- Doctorate (level 10)
- The “Year Earned” must be entered.
- Primary assignment Status must be “Active Assignment”.
